Lowcountry Trades Showcase — July 2026
Passion Foundations
Introduction
Passion Foundations (Passion Masonry & Foundations) has been pouring concrete and building masonry across the Lowcountry since 2010, when founders Carlos and Rosalinda Loredo started the company in North Charleston. Today it's one of the area's established masonry and concrete contractors, handling structural concrete, foundations, and repairs for both commercial and residential jobs.
The Project
This showcase covers a foundation pour on Goblet Street: rebar cage, formwork, and the pour itself, documented on-site as the crew worked.
The Work
Coverage mixed ground-level footage of the crew mid-pour with wider drone shots of the full job site — showing both the hands-on work and the scale of the project.
The People
A concrete pour is a coordinated, physical job — a crew working against a schedule to get the mix placed, leveled, and finished correctly before it sets.
The Craftsmanship
Foundation work doesn't get a second chance. The rebar placement, the formwork, and the pour itself all have to be right the first time — precise, code-driven work that almost never gets photographed.
Why We Chose Them
Most homeowners never see what goes into a foundation. Fifteen years in, Passion Foundations' work is a good example of the unglamorous, high-precision trades work that makes everything built on top of it possible.
